Beloit Historical Society Partners with HC Anderson Roofing Company for New Roof

HC Anderson completes new roof for Beloit Historical Society at 845 Hackett St, Beloit, WI 53511

The Beloit Historical Society reached out to us in the spring of 2024 for a roof inspection and quote to replace the aging roof of The Lincoln Center. The multi-purpose building, located at 845 Hackett St. in Beloit, WI, is the hub of the historical society’s activities, including its offices, archives, and community room. Our team was proud to be a part of the important project, and we are excited to announce the roof has been completed safely and on time.

Project Overview

This project required the removal and installation of three different types of roof surfaces. The Lincoln Center was formerly the home of Lincoln High School, and the roof of the building features areas of TPO, metal, and shingle roofing materials.

  • Removal of Existing Roof Materials: The project began with the removal of the old roofing materials down to the deck layer.
  • Repair Deck Sheeting: Our team removed and replaced areas where the roof sheeting was no longer structurally sound.
  • Membrane Roof Installation: We installed 60mil TPO Roofing System, 24ga prefinished coping, counterflashing and edge metal.
  • Metal Roof Installation: We used HT Ice and Water shield for the underlayment, and 24ga R-36 exposed fastener metal roof, ridge cap and trims.
  • Shingle Installation: For this project, we installed Owens Corning Duration Lifetime Architectural Shingles. These shingles were selected for their superior weather resistance and lifetime warranty.
  • Ice & Water Shield: To prevent damage from water and ice dams, we installed Ice & Water shield across all eves of the roof.
  • Finishing Touches: Finally, we installed new drip edges, soil stack flashing, and .032 prefinished 5k aluminum seamless gutters and .019 aluminum downspouts.
